Good Morning Mix: Kasbo mints Sirius XM Chill residency, ‘Cry / Dance Radio,’ with inaugural episode

After releasing his sophomore LP in October, The Making of a Paracosm, Kasbo immediately set his sights on what would come next: “Cry / Dance Radio,” his guest radio residency on Sirius XM Chill. The monthly radio serial will be familiar in theory to longer-term Kasbo followers; the Sirius XM Chill stint is an extension of the Swedish visionary’s mixtape series, “Cry / Dance,” first launched in 2017.

“Cry / Dance” was originally conceived as a SoundCloud saga and served as a platform for several melodic installments under the “Cry / Dance” heading. An elongation of earlier beginnings, “Cry / Dance Radio” will feature music that has inspired Kasbo personally, tracks from The Making of a Paracosm, and tons of “unreleased edits and songs,” according to the Places We Don’t Know album-maker.

“Cry / Dance Radio” is an invitation into Kasbo’s melodic headspace that takes listeners on a journey through the chill, indie-electronic, nu disco, synth electropop, and melodic house genres.
