Jvanz delivers debut EP, ‘Lane Change’
After ensnaring streamers with two pre-EP singles, June’s “The One” and August’s “Mi Amor,” Toronto-based double-threat Jvanz has guided Lane Change across the finish line. The EP—Jvanz’s debut—serves as a six-song flex of the singer-songwriter’s vocal chops and his adroitness at tailoring his sung contributions to the different beats to which Lane Change plays host.
Laced with R&B sensibilities, Lane Change largely leans pop but sees electronic’s own Snyder assist on “Timeless,” a sauntering mid-tempo cooperative that focalizes Jvanz’s creative capacities while showing listeners a different side of Snyder. The sole other guest cameo made on Lane Change can be found on “Mi Amor” (Bunlo). Lane Change is a promising project from a producer ardently carving his niche in the sonic scene; stream below.
