Kayzo and Brennan Heart team up for genre-morphing single, ‘Untouchable’
Clocking in over a dozen releases in 2020 alone, Kayzo has had an extraordinarily productive year in the studio, with momentum still at full speed as he unleashes his latest output. Linking with hardstyle heavyweight Brennan Heart on “Untouchable,” the Welcome Records honcho sharpens his keen crossover instincts for the fiery new single, set to appear on Heart’s forthcoming album, Brennan Heart And Friends. Heart said of the track,
“We wanted to make a track with different styles, about growing stronger to the point where nothing can hurt you anymore.”
Led by tenacious vocals, the genre-morphing production journeys through hardstyle, rock, and dubstep styles, welcoming a dynamic congregation of punk aesthetics from guitar solos, screeching sound design, and thunderous reverse bass distortion. Although “Untouchable” marks a less-seen foray into hardstyle territory from Kayzo, the Los Angeles-based producer has dominated the genre-nonconforming space with fluid collaborations like OST-assisted “Liar,” REAPER and Qoiet triple-teamed, “Wait,” and “Breakdown.”
