Must-listen: CamelPhat disperse long-awaited debut album, ‘Dark Matter’

CamelPhat have released their highly-anticipated debut album Dark Matter. After unveiling “Witching Hour” as the first single ahead of the benchmark LP, the multi-platinum duo has come readily equipped with an album that highlights its unscalable production capabilities.

Dark Matter finds the Liverpool sensation, made up of Dave Whelan and Mike Di Scala, unafraid to use their platform. The album combines a host of subgenres including minimal, indie, ambient, and trip-hop with CamelPhat’s overarching techno sound, bridging the gap between a variety of sonic styles. The lengthy tracklist, comprising 21 songs, features a number of reworks and collaborations from the likes of Florence Welch, Maverick Sabre, Yannis Philippakis, Eli & FurSkreamNoel Gallagher, and more.

Notably, some of CamelPhat’s biggest releases over the years such as “Be Someone” with Jake Bugg, “Panic Room” with Au/Ra, and “Rabbit Hole” with Jem Cooke appear. Fellow fan favorites such as “For a Feeling” with ARTBAT, “Breathe” with Cristoph, and CamelPhat’s breakthrough Grammy-nominated hit “Cola” even receive “Dark Matter” makeovers. Stream Dark Matter below, out now via RCA Records.
