Ophelia Records leads ‘Advent Volume 2’ with STAR SEED’s ethereal label debut, the Meggie York-assisted ‘Heaven’

After instituting the inaugural volume in its Advent series in late May, Ophelia Records is readying the second installment in the burgeoning, bi-annual EP series with creative assistance from STAR SEED. Slated to land in full on November 20, Ophelia Presents: Advent Volume 2 is led by “Heaven,” a Meggie York feature that signals a watershed moment for STAR SEED, who realize their first label release with the single. York is memorable for previously guesting on “Escape,” STAR SEED’s debut single released in September.

Uniting piano chords and York’s vocal contributions under “Heaven’s” emotive umbrella, STAR SEED provide backing for their status as an “experimental” electronic-pop production pair at the breaks. A novel start to the duo’s presence on Ophelia, “Heaven” is STAR SEED’s acquaintance-making outing on the label, but it won’t be their last; STAR SEED’s forthcoming EP, INNERSPACE, will also be hosted on the Ophelia platform.

“Heaven” is an arresting precursor to Ophelia Presents: Advent Volume 2, which promises to engage the future bass, trance, cinematic dubstep, melodic bass, and drum ‘n’ bass subgenres in its robust exposition of the emerging electronic talent that should be eliciting your streams. In sum, Ophelia Presents: Advent Volume 2 will introduce 14 new artists to the electronic arena, in an illustration of Ophelia’s ongoing commitment to highlighting ascending artists in the dance domain.
