Premiere: JAXX DA FISHWORKS’ bass house cannon, ‘Paranoia’

Loading…JAXX DA FISHWORKS‘ hat trick.

With two original offerings on his 2020 activity log—January’s Pusher EP and April’s “We Light It Up’—and plenty of fire in his belly, JAXX DA FISHWORKS wasn’t about to take a seat on the sonic bench just yet this year. Indeed, he’s back to set the bass house scene ablaze with “Paranoia,” a forcible cut to set off electronic release radars.

Arriving courtesy of Tchami‘s Confession imprint, “Paranoia” is a dastardly clinic in how to dynamite the bass house context. The musical frenzy carries forth with a commanding four-on-the-floor rhythm and a kickdrum and beat that hold their own. Vocals from Dread MC add a layer of authority to JAXX DA FISHWORKS’ latest, as the Tokyo-based talent asserts that good things do in fact come in threes.

“Paranoia” will formally land on November 13, but listeners can stream the single in full one day early, exclusively on Dancing Astronaut.
