Temporary restraining order against Diplo granted in developing revenge porn case

A Los Angeles Superior Court judge has granted a temporary restraining order against Diplo to a woman who alleges that the producer, real name Thomas Wesley Pentz, threatened her with revenge porn. Lisa Bloom, who represents the woman and filed the request for the temporary order, said in a statement,

“We requested that he be ordered to cease and desist distributing sexually explicit photos of our client, identify everyone he has sent explicit photos of her, turn over all sexually explicit photos of her, identify where he has posted sexually explicit photos of her, and immediately remove any sexually explicit photos he has posted of her on social media or elsewhere.

The Court went even further, banning Diplo from distributing explicit images of our client without ‘express written permission’ from her or from the court, and that he ‘shall identify and remove any such images previously posted or distributed.”

Court documents obtained by Us Weekly indicate that the Los Angeles Superior Court granted the order on November 16. Diplo’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, has since dismissed the allegations, maintaining that his client has “in no way…violated any law.” The woman “has been harassing my client and his family for more than a year and has repeatedly refused to stop doing so,” Freedman alleged.

In a statement to Us Weekly, Freedman elaborated,

“This individual has been relentless in her harassment of Wes, his family, and his friends. There is a mountain of evidence as to why her outrageous claims should not be believed—and we look forward to having our opportunity to present them to the court.”

A hearing on a permanent restraining order is set for December 8.
