Tiga makes an effervescent affair of Elderbrook’s ‘Back To My Bed’ in new remix
A meeting of Elderbook and Tiga‘s musical minds has seemed a matter not of if but rather when, and this creative collision has audible impact on the latter’s remix of “Back To My Bed.” Tiga takes a transformative approach to “Back To My Bed,” inviting Elderbrook’s vocal-led, indie-inflected original into the dance domain, territory it had not toed in its untouched form.
Tasteful touches of bass, vocal chops and general rearrangements to Elderbrook’s sung components, and an altered BPM propel “Back To My Bed” to electronic pockets, while maintaining the tenor of the Why Do We Shake In The Cold? inclusion. The edit follows Tiga’s recent outing alongside Hudson Mohawke on “VSOD (Velvet Sky of Dreams).”
