Good Morning Mix: ford. strikes the ‘Intermission’ match, igniting season two of Foreign Family Collective’s mix series
After a six-month “intermission,” Foreign Family Collective‘s “Intermission Broadcast” series has ground back into gear, and the season two reigns can be found resting firmly in ford.‘s hands on “Mix 009.” The nearly 44-minute dreamscape finds ford. hitting Foreign Family’s conceptual aim for the series, providing “a welcomed intermission from the day to day…a reminder of the power of music to bring people together, even when we are apart.”
One listen will chalk “Mix 009” up as a bullseye in this regard for ford. A paragon of the power of wispy ambiance and rich texture exemplified on his sophomore LP, The Color Of Nothing, ford.’s “Intermission” submission extends the legacy of the golden label’s serial, inaugurated in March.
The 20-year-old producer’s “Intermission” contribution follows series cameos from a host of capable minds including SG Lewis, Jai Wolf, Robotaki, Chet Porter, Whethan, TOKiMONSTA, Mild Minds, and ODESZA, who founded “Intermission” with “NO.SLEEP – Mix 12.” More “Intermission”-induced escapes can be expected on a monthly basis from here on out. In the meantime, start season two below.
