Good Morning Mix: Re-experience Audien’s nostalgic return to the stage at Insomniac’s SoCal drive-in
We voiced our stance earlier in the year, but we’ll reiterate it again: experiencing another Audien performance in person is an undisputed top musical priority. Those in Southern California who also had that desire on their 2020 wishlists were fortunate enough to cross it off when the progressive house veteran took the stage for his first real-life display in more than nine months as part of Insomniac’s Park ‘N Rave series. As the year begins to wind down, we’re traveling back to the NOS Events Center in San Bernardino to re-experience the livestream in its entirety.
As anyone in tune with the Dancing Astronaut Instagram account knows, the slew of highlights from Audien’s reunion with live entertainment were more than sufficient to prove the set’s priceless value. Checking in at just above an hour, Audien’s drive-in exhibit was amongst his finest, resetting the nostalgic clock through elating blends of “Save the World” and “I Am,” “Wayfarer” and “Sun & Moon,” and “Hide & Seek” against Audien’s Grammy-nominated “Pompeii” revision to cite a few.
The 80-minute SoCal appearance delivered at the top of December wasn’t without a sliver of new music, however, with Audien unwrapping a verified incoming single from his “Craving” counterpart, Arty.
