Good Morning Mix: Sonny Fodera and MK challenge the customary commute with U-Bahn back-to-back
Anywhere is a dance floor—if you’re Sonny Fodera and Mark Kinchen. In 2019, Fodera and the Area 10 records head turned the concept of a commute on its head when they took over a Berlin U-Bahn car during standard business hours, going double duty in the house domain for a back-to-back set that effectively ended the workday.
Interweaving originals from Chiqito, OFFAIAH, Eats Everything, and Dom Dolla, among a host of other acts in the house and tech house division, Fodera and MK soundtracked the “Body 2 Body” subway experience in a stint that—no surprise here—underscored their shared status as genre stalwarts.
