Jai Wolf celebrates a half-decade since his iconic debut with ‘Indian Summer’ re-release
More than a half-decade later and Jai Wolf‘s 2015 freshman release “Indian Summer” still holds up as one of highest ranking outings from the New York producer’s widespread index. In commemoration of five trips around the sun since Jai Wolf’s enlistment on ODESZA‘s Foreign Family, he’s repackaging “Indian Summer” with a celebratory five-track edition and coinciding vinyl release.
Including two modern updates to his breakthrough single, Jai Wolf recruited both MEMBA and Duskus for blissful re-imaginings of “Indian Summer” as part of the anniversary reissue, also ensuring Kasbo’s unforgettable adaptation from Wolf’s Kindred Spirits Remixes EP wasn’t left behind. The five-year celebration couldn’t arrive without something new from Jai Wolf himself, who finally unleashed his “Indian Summer” live edit that his listeners have certainly been longing to experience in person again. Jai Wolf shared a heartfelt message as he reflected on a half-decade of his statement-making entrance to the electronic music game, stating,
“Surreal to think it’s been 5 years since we put out ‘Indian Summer’ with Foreign Family. We’re celebrating with a very special anniversary vinyl featuring 2 brand new remixes from MEMBA and Duskus + the iconic Kasbo version + the live version of the track. From travel vlogs to wedding aisles, I’m forever grateful for everyone who used the song to soundtrack their lives. Much love to Foreign Family and ODESZA for finding this song a home <3.”
