Jason Ross and RUNN reconvene for proper melodic finale to Ophelia Records’ 2020 calendar, ‘Intertwined’
Jason Ross and RUNN banded together on the former’s sensational debut album to introduce 2020, so it was only fitting that the “Letting Go” tandem reassembled to round out a long-winded marathon of a year. Sliding in between Jason Ross’ weekly stream series for Insomniac, “The Atlas,” and a brimming sonic schedule for RUNN including several Ophelia Records showings, “Intertwined” arrives as the label’s ultimate outing before the calendar turns.
Following up the forenamed 1000 Faces collaboration was no small stint for Jason Ross and RUNN, but the alliance readily outruns any expectations. “Intertwined” strikes a similar deep-seated chord as its earlier counterpart while heading down its own heartening trail, harnessing the paramount capabilities of both Jason Ross’ melodic dubstep genius and RUNN’s unfeigned vocals. Formally closing the curtains on a year to remember from the Ophelia Records household, “Intertwined” acts as a becoming finale from the two familiar cohorts.
