Mako perfects his storytelling capacity on cohesive sophomore LP, ‘Fable’ [Stream]

When recounting Mako‘s early stages, from the days of “Beam” and “Our Story,” it’s clear that Alex Seaver has expansively and reverentially progressed, and now, he’s taking another sonic leap, bringing his solo tenure one step further with his first-ever unaided LP, Fable. Preceded by a reserve of delicately crafted album preludes, Fable has now officially been turned in with 11 tracks spread widely across Mako’s momentous sophomore album.

Fable puts the endowment of Seaver’s one-man show configuration in full view, diving further into the trenches of the deep-seated emotion that has earned him a permanently lofty ranking within the indie-electronic hierarchy. It took three years of unwavering devotion to arrive at Fable‘s ultimate destination, and Mako ensured each second mattered, tying the LP’s preceding numbers together with a group of divine new standouts that wound the LP’s cohesive direction even more tightly with the addition of “Roller Coaster,” “Peregrine,” and “The Wagon.”
