Mark Knight injects disco into Silience’s ‘I Don’t Wanna Know’

Toolroom head honcho Mark Knight takes a break from his house label to give Silience‘s latest single “I Don’t Wanna Know” a fresh remix. The original track is a groovy cut built around a interpolation of Fugees’ iconic “Ready or Not,” but Knight strips away the hummed melody in favor of the classic disco sound. Filled with a funky bassline, bright synths, and samples straight out of the ’80s, Mark Knight’s remix elevates the track into an irresistibly cheerful dance anthem.

The EP comes complete with an extended and dub mix of the track to satiate the DJs itching to get the track into their mixes. It arrives the same week as Mark Knight’s remix of Dosem‘s “Right Time,” which similarly carries disco inflection while keeping a deeper club sound at the forefront. Knight also recently performed for Toolroom Livestream; the set is available to relive here.
