MK taps in for transformative remix of CamelPhat, LOWES’ ‘Easier’
Some of CamelPhat‘s Dark Matter has gotten a shade lighter, thanks to MK.
A brooding constituent of the Liverpool-formed production pair’s debut LP, “Easier” effortlessly contributed to the overarching sense of crepuscular introspection that colored Dark Matter. This sonic personality shifts quite dramatically on MK’s reboot, which decidedly sidesteps the moody disposition of CamelPhat’s melodic house work.
MK’s piano house conversion not only transforms the listening experience of “Easier,” but also the settings in which the LOWES-vocalized effort would be of most appeal. Under MK’s sonic tutelage, “Easier” becomes club fuel for a future point, as the AREA 10 label head can be found competing yet again—and seemingly only with himself—for the title of 2020’s most prolific remixer.
