Tommy Trash lends his re-imaginative touch to deadmau5, Kiesza’s ‘Bridged By A Lightwave’
Tommy Trash is back once again for another rework, this one of deadmau5 and Kiesza‘s 2020 gem, “Bridged By A Lightwave.” Beginning with Kiesza’s otherworldly vocals and twinkling synths, and later steadied by an uptempo beat, the take offers an upending and paradisaical perspective on the original. Taking a dance floor approach to the original mau5trap vision, Trash follows up his “The Veldt” remix for deadmau5, crafting a deep yet groovy incantation that comes in both an eight-minute extended and four-minute standard version.
After two years spent hardly releasing any new music officially, Trash has thankfully put forth four new outputs in 2020, including a track from Insomniac and mau5trap’s second collaborative album. Hopefully, this is just the beginning of a reinvigoration of one of dance music’s leading legends.
