Jai Wolf takes Petit Biscuit’s ‘Drivin Thru The Night’ on an after-hours detour
Jai Wolf shut the four-year intermission in his non-original streak in January and clearly has no intent to let that gap reopen even remotely that much again. After a nostalgic conversion of keshi’s “blue,” Jai Wolf has been recruited by Petit Biscuit to breathe new life into his headmost Parachute offering, “Drivin Thru the Night.”
Freely striking the “late-night drive” chord that Petit Biscuit spelt out as the ambition behind the original title, Jai Wolf reaches deep within his unconquered synth-driven armory to fast forward the album cut from a sunset playback to a midnight hour, windows down joyride. Each and every second of the four-minute remodel can be expected to vividly ideate Jai Wolf’s visuals when he eventually rinses the track during his Infinite Summer stops at both Red Rocks and The Brooklyn Mirage in the hopefully not-so-distant future.
