Gilligan Moss’ debut record is an organic triumph [Stream]
Pre-school classmates turned Gilligan Moss, Evan and Ben of the Foreign Family Collective-signed duo have officially dispensed their self-titled debut album. Streaming everywhere, Gilligan Moss‘ organic house beats pervade the 13-track project. The record’s au naturale aura offers refreshing soundscapes and textures that cement GilMo’s distinctive style of production. Three years in the making, Gilligan Moss “is the first collection of songs that feel like [the duo’s] own voice,” according to Evan and Ben.
Foreign Family’s most recent signee, Gilligan Moss pride themselves on their genre-bending abilities. The Chicago natives dispatch their debut project right on the heels of their “Intermission Broadcast” mix—the 13th installment in their label’s ongoing series—which premiered on March 24. Other featured hosts of the series have included Foreign Family’s founders, ODESZA, as well as electronic heavyweights TOKiMONSTA, Jai Wolf, and Hayden James, among others.
GilMo’s feel-good album derives from ’70’s, nu-disco, and indie pop/rock influences. Stream the “Gooey” remixers’ highly anticipated long-form debut below.
