Covex sets course with new album single, ‘To Be Alone’
Moving Castle wunderkind, Covex, has divulged the second single, “To Be Alone” from his forthcoming debut album A Change of Perspective. Just off the cuffs of his 2020 EP, Learning To Love, the young producer is on his way to becoming one of dance music’s favorite lyric-driven, melodic purveyors.
“To Be Alone” engulfs fans in an intricate piano outing, in tandem with a light guitar riff and fluid vocal chops. Hinging the track on the vulnerability and courage it takes to accept love after a devastating heartbreak, Covex skillfully combines impassioned lyricism with flawless production design. This type of sound places him on the forefront of the emotive electronic trend that’s been led by the likes of Illenium, San Holo, Slow Magic and more—all of which have provided resounding support for the burgeoning Covex.
