Skrillex, Poo Bear extend their collaborative legacy with ‘The Day You Left’

Skrillex and Poo Bear have been collaborators since 2015, when Poo Bear hopped on Jack Ü’s now-classic electronic staple, “Where Are Ü Now” with Justin Bieber. The pair would go on to merge creative synergies again in 2017 for “Would You Ever,” on which Poo Bear was credited as the lead vocalist. Now, Skrillex and Poo Bear have reunited once again for “The Day You Left,” with the former receiving a co-writer and co-producer credit.

Although previous projects credited to both Skrillex and Poo Bear have made use of dance-driven chords, “The Day You Left” takes a markedly more melancholic approach and tacks on the recent slew of singles to come out of the Skrillex camp, including a remix of “Supersonic (My Existence),” “over and done,” “Too Bizarre,” and “Butterflies.” “The Day You Left” can be streamed below.
