QUIX teams up with Jaden Michaels on ‘Make Up Your Mind’
Don’t sleep on Nashville… QUIX certainly hasn’t. The music city is a hot bed of up and coming vocal talent, and not just country. On his return to Aoki’s Dim Mak imprint, QUIX brings Nashvillian singer/songwriter Jaden Michaels along for the ride on this drum and bass gem. The New Zealander packs one hell of a drum & bass punch into what opens as heartfelt message buoyed by Jaden Michaels absolutely gripping vocals. The dynamics are otherworldly. QUIX lets Jaden do her thing, slowly building a bass line under her increasingly intense lyrics. The instrumental and her cries of “make up your mind” build together into a high-energy, goosebump-inducing drop that will delight any DnB fan. The track follows QUIX‘s “IDK Vol. 2” from earlier this year and is his second collaboration with Jaden Michaels, after 2018’s “Giving Up.” Here’s hoping round three will come sooner than 2024.
