AEG Presents to require proof of vaccination for entry to all owned and operated venues and events by October

Beginning August 16, 2021, all AEG Presents-owned indoor New York venues (i.e., Webster Hall, Brooklyn Steel, Terminal 5, and Music Hall of Williamsburg) will require proof of vaccination for all ticket holders, staff, crew, and performers. Acceptable forms of documentation will include any of the following: the New York State Excelsior Pass, the New York City COVID Safe App, a physical CDC vaccination card, and a physical New York City vaccination record.

The vaccination policy will affect not only indoor venues in New York owned by AEG, but also all of the events promoter’s owned and operated clubs, theaters, and festivals nationwide. AEG Presents will fully enforce the new policy across the United States no later than October 1, 2021. In the time leading up to October 1, attendees will be permitted to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test, taken within 72 hours of the show date, notably “where permitted,” AEG personnel said in the August 12 statement:

“The date was chosen specifically to allow time for any eligible unvaccinated ticketholders and staff to reach fully vaccinated status should they choose to do so. Leading up to October 1, AEG Presents will be implementing a policy of showing proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test taken within 72 hours of show date where permitted.”

AEG Presents is one of the worldwide leaders in show production and puts on events such as Coachella, Electric Forest, The Buku Project, Hangout Festival, and more. It also owns and operates many of the country’s premier concert venues, including Los Angeles’ Shrine Expo Hall, among others.
