Join A-Trak and Wongo’s ‘Groove Society’
When A-Trak and Wongo sonically rub shoulders, the outcome is a clinic in French house. Streamers specifically know it, however, as “Groove Society,” a funkified parcel of the standard and extended that lends itself to the “filter house” description so often associated with the French house genre. The fun little jaunt arrives in all of its rhythmic glory via Fool’s Gold Records, bringing a touch of French flair to the Duck Sauce constituent’s label as it simultaneously notches A-Trak and Wongo’s first time working together.
On A-Trak’s end, “Groove Society” surfaces as his ninth original of the year, tacking on to Duck Sauce and Armand Van Helden’s mid-August single, “Nonchalant.” For Wongo, the landmark tie-up touches down in the dust left by the recent release of Fireball (Remixes) and not long before the arrival of the remix pack, his Not For Radio, Pt. 2 EP.
