Thomas Xavier makes a statement with ‘Can’t Stop Me’

“Can’t Stop Me” isn’t just the title of Thomas Xavier‘s “Ballin” successor—it’s also a pithy expression of Xavier’s presence in the electronic scene. TLDR? He and his sound warrants attention, and like the listeners who tapped in early following Xavier’s debut, made through Go To Church in May, your sights should be set on a burgeoning project that is positively burning up the G-house corner.

“Ballin,” the first single from Xavier’s sophomore EP, Pussy On A Pedestal, added some slick head bobbing action to New Music Friday roundups upon its June 11 issuance. Xavier continues this early tradition with “Can’t Stop Me,” a shuffling number peppered with percussion and laced with a looping vocal sample that proves the Xavier project to be robust with promise.

Since the launch of the Thomas Xavier initiative in May, the Milwaukee-anchored act has signed EPs with User Friendly and i am records and provided support for BIJOU‘s July 3 stint. He’ll be back to open for Golf Clap on August 12, in a lively lead-up to his Pussy On A Pedestal EP, with two pre-release singles still yet to come.
