Tony Romera grants third album single ‘Party On My Own’ with Max Wassen
Tony Romera has revealed the third single from his debut album Introspection, “Party On My Own” featuring Max Wassen. The French house producer and Canadian rapper reflect on moments of melancholy and happiness on the Monstercat-issued track, which follows Romera’s initial pre-album singles “VHS” and “MS69” released, in June and July, respectively. Speaking on the events that sparked the collaborative effort, Romera reflected,
“This track defines how we all felt a few months ago, combining nostalgia and melancholia with hope and happiness at the same time. When I started, I wanted to make something super experimental with some new production techniques I had just learned at the time. Then my friends Miller Miller showed me Max Wassen who was working with them on another project. I totally went nuts when he sent me his work on this song.”
“Party On My Own” diverges from Romera’s electro and bass-house penchants; the downtempo single envelops a hybrid of styles that poetically form an alliance between the hip-hop and electronic music genres. Adding further distinction to Romera’s sound and production capabilities, the crafty collaborative single brings together a unique combination of funky grooves and feel-good lyrics.
