When held up side-by-side with Neiman’s July offerings, “Wait For Me,” and “men.,” it is apparent—however surprisingly—that the window rattler makes much more room for melodic cues in “Play Nice” compared with its two predecessors. Toplines laid by Sister Teeth add an usual vocal touch to Neiman’s latest one-off, taking the formally trained musician’s aesthetic to an ear-catching new height that underscores his established efficacy in the bass and dubstep-roving domain while highlighting his capacity to introduce other elements into his music with a furious flourish.
“Play Nice” extends Doctor Neiman’s string of impact-ridden releases in 2021 to date, hitting the streets as his seventh original this year alone.
