Kaskade ups the melancholic ante in remix of Dylan Matthew, SLANDER’s ‘Love Is Gone’
Dancing Astronaut‘s inaugural Supernova, Dylan Matthew, and SLANDER continue to diversify their stock of “Love Is Gone” spins with the sophomore remix from the forthcoming Love Is Gone (The Remixes Vol 2.) pack. After placing the re-imaginative reigns in R3HAB‘s hands on August 28, the collaborators now commission an edit from Kaskade.
As Kaskade’s alteration evidences, Matthew and SLANDER made an apt choice when approaching the “Flip Reset” producer to take part in the second wave of “Love Is Gone” remixes. Muting the thrashing, high-octane sonics of the original to amplify the melancholic emotion of a song that’s left an indelible mark on the dance scene since its May 2019 dispersal, Kaskade scales up the heart-wrenching character of “Love Is Gone,” intensifying its inherent ache.
Two additional “Love Is Gone” takes—from Alok (September 24) and Armin van Buuren (October 8)—remain to come, but in the meantime, listeners can stream Kaskade’s remix below.
