Kohmi pays homage to ‘San Francisco’ with ominous bass-house original on Monstercat

The saying goes that the music will always speak for itself, and after keeping his true identity under wraps up until this point, Kohmi is officially attaching a face to the name behind so many gifted releases. Riding the momentum from his first-ever live performance at the end of August—an opening slot in France for Malaa—Kohmi is rounding the Monstercat bases for a third time in 2021 with the uncaging of “San Francisco.”

Ideated from his undying adoration of the Bay Area, Kohmi’s aptly labeled original takes a seat next to both “Blink” with KinAhau and “What We Do” to stretch his ongoing release blitz on Monstercat. “San Francisco” skillfully pays tribute to one of Kohmi’s favorite cities, carrying out his intention of “[recreating] the city if it was in [his] dark and mysterious universe” with the same clever, one-of-a-kind flavor of bass-house that’s continued to cement him as one of the genre’s brightest names of the moment.
