On August 27 and 28, Black Book Records founder Chris Lake sold out two consecutive nights at the famed Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California. LA’s COVID-19 protocol required that all attendees present a negative PCR test taken within the past 72 hours, or show proof of full vaccination status. Although general entry experienced some delays, these safety enforcements did not prevent the two jam-packed nights at The Shrine from proceeding in grand fashion. Concert-goers danced the evening away under the Black Book disco shark to Lake and several special guest openers who Lake tapped for support. Openers included Chris Lorenzo and Cloonee, among others.
Lake sent out a special shout-out to Los Angeles in a commemorative Instagram post, stating,
