Vintage Culture, Adana Twins deliver spins on RÜFÜS DU SOL’s ‘Next to Me’
Like most of their accompanying discography, RÜFÜS DU SOL‘s “Next to Me” evokes all of the group’s most iconic signatures in its ability to transport listeners into ethereal realms. The Australian trio now offer up two reimaginings of their most recent album single, enlisting Vintage Culture and Adana Twins for the remix package.
Vintage Culture’s interpretation sees the producer maintains its original’s aura while taking a more fast-paced approach. In contrast to the predecessor’s slow and haunting atmosphere, the Vintage Culture remix builds off a foundation of hopeful energy. Adana Twins also provide a different direction, juxtaposing club production with oceanic tones.
The release marks RÜFÜS DU SOL’s second remix package in a month, following that of “Alive.” The new music comes alongside the trio’s return from a three-year hiatus, with future activity sure to follow.
