Destructo swaps line dancing for shuffling in new visual for remix of Dolly Parton’s classic ‘Jolene’
Taking elements of two juxtaposing genres as well as a rare blessing from Dolly Parton herself, DESTRUCTO grants fans an all new music video for his official remix of Parton’s world-renowned country anthem, “Jolene.” DESTRUCTO comments on his latest vision, stating,
“I wanted to pay homage to an icon in my own special way bringing this classic song and video into 2021. I bow down to Ms. Dolly Parton,”
Heading out to rural Colorado’s The Mint to shoot the music video, DESTRUCTO introduces the audience to a lone dancer, viral sensation Sammy Steadman, cutting shapes in a colorfully-lit country dive. As the track continues, Steadman coaxed unsuspecting patrons out onto the floor where house and country join together for a unifying dance outing, inviting none other than DESTRUCTO to DJ the affair. Swapping a country bar’s typical penchant for line dancing with a club-primed shuffle clinic, Gary Richards and Sammy Steadman give the new “Jolene” revamp the footworking visual that the remix undoubtedly deserves.
