The heat from “Diamonds” hasn’t even come close to dying down after its October eruption, but Julian Jordan wisely chose to fan the flames of his high-powered union with Martin Garrix and Tinie Tempah by awarding it a sequel. Six STMPD RCRDS originals in a single year had already gone well beyond the quota for what could be deemed a memorable 12-month span for Julian Jordan, with the Dutchman now piling onto that tally with release number seven, “Thunder.”

It should come as no surprise as to what we’re about to say next: Julian Jordan knew exactly what to call his newest booming single, and STMPD RCRDS agrees. “Thunder” is the ultimate sister release to “Diamonds,” with Jordan building off the rousing charm from its predecessor and taking a perfect storm of his blue-chip brand of bass house directly into 2022.
