Annie Nightingale hosts mixes from Sable Valley’s Montell2099, JAWNS, Juelz, and Rossy on BBC Radio 1

Sable Valley‘s 2022 activity is now underway, thanks to a two-hour takeover of BBC Radio 1’sAnnie Nightingale Show.” The takeover features four 30-minute sets from Sable Valley regulars Montell2099, JAWNS, Juelz, and Rossy, respectively, making for 120 minutes of pure and unadulterated trap bliss. The ID-laden tracklists feature IDs from the aforementioned producers as well as highly sought-after IDs from Knock2, RL Grime (specifically, his unreleased collaboration with JAWNS from his “Halloween X” set), and Aleko.

All four of the artists highlighted in the takeover recently wrapped up touring with the label boss on Sable Valley’s Community Outreach tour. They’ve also all been featured on Sable Valley Summer Vol. 1 and Sable Valley Summer Vol. 2, with the exception of Juelz, who’s been almost as synonymous with the label as RL Grime himself since their joint effort, “Formula,” was released in 2019 and featured on the former’s High Octane EP.

Montell2099 gets the mix party started with his remix of Wilkinson’s “Take You Higher” and Metrik’s “Hackers.” JAWNS excites with IDs from himself and Knock2, and play out of his highly anticipated collaboration with RL Grime. Juelz, fresh off the release of his Paradise Lost EP, showed that he’s still sitting on plenty of unreleased music over the course of his 30 minutes. Last but certainly not least, Rossy, one of our 25 Artists to Watch in 2022, continued her rapid ascension with a set that includes RL Grime’s unreleased remix of “Miss The Rage,” music from ISOxo, and a bevy of unreleased IDs, including a collaboration between herself and Aleko.

It’s been a minute since Sable Valley released music, with the last label-issued production being Juelz’s “Hideaway” in early November of 2021, but if its takeover of the Annie Nightingale Show is any indication, RL Grime’s imprint is primed for a massive 2022. Get those trap arms ready and soak in all 120 minutes of the takeover below.
