Premiere: Bear Grillz, Stryer join forces on ‘Float’ featuring Meg & Dia

Bear Grillz and Stryer have teamed up once again. Their second-ever collaboration features Meg & Dia on vocals for “Float,” with which both artists ring in the New Year, marking “Float” as their first official release of 2022. “Float” follows their first sonic union, “Sedated” with Concrete Castles, which was released in 2021 on Grillz’s newfound label, Rude Service. Their most recent output features a far more uplifting sound than some of their past bass-heavy releases, and shows incredible versatility in production from both of the Denver-based artists. Stryer had the following to say about the track:

“Working on Float was an incredible experience from start to finish. This is the second song I’ve been blessed to release with my mentor and manager, Bear Grillz, who I see as a big brother. I’ve also dreamed of working with Meg & Dia for years, as they’ve been an iconic vocalist duo for as long as I can remember. This is also by far the most vibey tune I’ve gotten to put out!”

Bear Grillz is coming off a year that saw him release cuts like his aforementioned collaboration with Stryer, as well as singles like “Blow It Up” and “Rave Slam” with High Zombie. Stryer continues to be a fast-rising artist in the bass music scene, with features on Excision’s Subsidia label to parlay with his involvement with Rude Service.

The two producers have been performing together, appearing most recently in San Francisco, and seem like a bass music power couple to be reckoned with for years to come. Listen to “Float” one day ahead of its official release on January 11, exclusively on Dancing Astronaut.
