Tomorrowland organizers plan new multi-genre festival in Belgium for May 2022

Before Tomorrowland finally closes its three-year in-person hiatus—including a third weekend that’s currently still awaiting an official announcement—its presenting a brand new event that will happen just about 20 miles south of Boom, Belgium. Announced as a collaboration between the organizers behind both Tomorrowland and Rock Werchter, CORE Festival will touch down in Brussels across two days from May 27 – 28 in Osseghem Park.

Labeled as a “unique total experience where nature, live music and art meet,” CORE Festival will play host to four total stages and feature a lineup that will stretch beyond Tomorrowland’s dance-rooted wheelhouse in the heart of Belgium and Europe’s capital, including acts that fall under the indie, hip-hop, electronica, hyper-pop, and alternative dance umbrellas. Brussels’ mayor Philippe Close shared a message in celebration of the festival’s announcement, stating,

“We are very proud that Tomorrowland and Rock Werchter, two of the most important players in the world of music, are coming to Brussels with this new concept. A total experience of music, art and nature. Brussels celebrates and thus enables the event, cultural and hotel industry to breathe again.”

While the lineup is set to be revealed in the coming weeks, ticket pre-registration for CORE Festival’s debut is available here ahead of the general on-sale on February 24.
