On the electronic-facing end, Asher Shashaty and whoskevin? can be found facilitating emo/punk vocal collision with percussively guided production on “The Void.” Featuring raspy vocals from Florida-based creative whoskevin? lacquered in effects, their debut collaboration bespeaks balance, as topline and melodics meet in complementary fashion. Sidechains and synths cultivate a darker tone that derives texture from the track’s live drum work.
