MISS DRE returns to Farris Wheel, ‘Something Special’ in hand

One Farris Wheel signing begets another for MISS DRE who, after debuting on Gene Farris’ label in October 2021 with “Technocality,” returns for a sophomore stint, “Something Special.” And “Something Special” it is indeed. The triple-threat DJ, producer, and vocalist pieces together a heady trio of percussion, bassline, and stabs that collide in thumping fashion on the cut.

Move, the crowds shall, considering MISS DRE’s ear for precisely what tech-thirsty floor dwellers want to hear. Her live resume boasts supporting slots for Farris, Justin Martin, Sacha Robotti, Bruno Furlan, and Luke Andy, among others, all of which accumulated in the past year. That momentum will continue throughout 2022, with the Bay Area favorite already positioned to appear on J. Worra’s Check Out tour in Austin and San Francisco, not to mention Meow Wolf Santa Fe. Rising to the top like cream, MISS DRE is rapidly making her name known as one worth remembering in artist to watch conversations.
