Moderat announce first LP in six years, lead with ‘FAST L4ND’
Apparat and Modeselektor have come together once again as electronic duo Moderat for the first time in six years to announce their upcoming LP More D4ta via Monkeytown Records.
Following 2017’s III tour, the two went on an indefinite hiatus, giving their sound time to breathe before coming together for a new soundscape. Their latest exhibition delves into a rejuvenated and recharged perspective, flush with unique takes on evocative pop and dream-like electronic components. According to Monkeytown, the forthcoming album “wrestles with feelings of isolation and information overload—issues that have become particularly pronounced over the past two years.”
The 10-track entity will be available to the public come May 13, but for now, sink into More D4ta‘s first pre-album single, “FAST L4ND.” The newest offering carries forth an ambient humming with contortionist fluidity that leads into a reverberating sonic escapade equipped with crisp kicks and a twinkling dreamscape.
