Premiere: GANZ synthetically reimagines Kanye West’s ‘Jail’

For the better part of a decade, Jordy Saämena, known professionally as GANZ, has been electrifying countless dance floors with his melodic reworks and original mixes. Today, Dancing Astronaut proudly premieres the electronic beatsmith’s inventive take on Kanye West’s DONDA chart-topper, “Jail.” In an exclusive statement on the new remix, GANZ told Dancing Astronaut:

“After checking [out] the DONDA album, this ‘Jail’ track got stuck in my head. It is minimalistic but stuffed with so many feels that I had to make it more euphoric and combine it with my vibes.”

Though exclusive to SoundCloud and Bandcamp, “Jail (GANZ Flip)” marks Saämena’s first public offering of 2022. The reinvigorated edit arrives on the heels of GANZ’s November single, “Reminder” featuring R&B singer-songwriter Anuka. With a brand new year in front of him, we suspect that GANZ will have plenty more to offer in the coming months. “Jail (GANZ Flip)” will formally release on February 4, but listeners can stream it in full one day early, exclusively on Dancing Astronaut.
