Ry Hill delivers tech-house remix of ‘Have You Ever Seen The Rain’

Los Angeles-bred producer Ry Hill’s debut offering of 2022 arrives in the form of a granular edit of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Have You Ever Seen The Rain.” Hill capped off 2021 by joining forces with Teddy Beats for an imaginative, effervescent cover of Glass Animals‘ “Heat Waves.” Now, capitalizing on both nostalgia and sheer bass-induced horsepower, the 24-year-old has newly manipulated an all-time American classic. The Staring At The Sun artist told Dancing Astronaut,

“I started generating some internet buzz years ago by uploading future-bass remixes to SoundCloud. And before I start rolling out singles ahead of my debut LP, I wanted to tap back into those roots. I gotta say, after witnessing Chris Lorenzo’s infectious take on ‘California Dreamin,’ I knew I had to take my first step into the tech-house space.”

Released in 2020, Hill’s first-ever multi-track project, The Pretend EP, was a joint effort alongside co-producer Emerson Garnett. Evidently, Ry Hill’s debut solo album that he described as an “indie-house record” is officially underway. For updates on shows as well as the forthcoming LP, follow Ry Hill on Instagram.
