Sovereign Records doubles down on compilation series following success of ‘Sovereign Collection Vol. 1’ [Stream]

Following the July 2, 2021 release of Sovereign Collection Vol. 1, touting Brenton Mattheus’ fan-favorite, “Breaking,” Sovereign Records has ushered the second installment in its compilation series to streaming platforms. As with Vol. 1, Vol. 2 also plays host to 10 brand new tracks, each with its own distinctive sound, conferring a sense of stylistic diversity and novelty to the follow-up LP.
Sovereign Collection Vol. 2 dips into a slap-house-meets-Brazilian-bass aesthetic on Nippandab’s compilation opener, “Up High,” as well as on PRMGH’s “Fallin.” Meanwhile, electro-house and bass-house flourish respectively on Seanny’s “Burning Up” and Fiko’s “Get Bass.” There’s an inclusion for listeners of all different electronic preferences on Sovereign Collection Vol. 2 and beyond these artists, the album also lays claim to submissions from Mariline, Choujaa, Braunfufel, Guro Ukkestad, and NeoMood. After the success of Sovereign Collection Vol. 1, streamers are well-advised to dive into the denary below; your next favorite ascendant act just might be included among Vol. 2‘s tracklistings.
