Thomas Xavier breaks ground on Pharaoh Phonix label with ‘Funky Skunk’

In 2021, Thomas Xavier dispensed his Go To Church and Pussy on a Pedestal EPs, sprinkling several original singles across streaming platforms in between. The momentum was high, and it’ll stay that way in 2022, with Xavier bursting through the gate with his first release of the calendar year, “Funky Skunk,” issued via his newly launched label, Pharaoh Phonix. The platform will serve as a hub not only for Xavier’s own productions, but also those from rising bass, tech, and G-house tastemakers. In the months to come, Xavier will aim to advance Pharaoh Phonix through a series of branded events, the first of which took place on February 4 at Milwaukee’s Miramar Theater and was headlined by Codes.

With an upcoming date at North Coast Music Festival set for Labor Day Weekend 2022, Xavier is wasting no time in applying his house-fueled touch to the new year. Listeners can expect the bassline-driven “Funky Skunk” to receive live play out at Xavier’s various live stints this year, and with the Pharaoh Phonix books newly open and ready for business, there’s a lot more to come.
