Bob Moses’ third LP has landed—stream ‘The Silence in Between’

Bob Moses have kept fans on the edge of their seats in anticipation of the outfit’s third full-length project. On the heels of three early release audiovisual offerings, The Silence In Between has officially landed in full, signifying Tom Howie and Jim Vallance’s debut LP as Astralwerks signees. Alongside the 10-piece project arrives a brand new music video for “Hanging On,” directed by Adrian Villagomez. Bob Moses spoke on the album concept in a recent press statement,

“Making this album was a way for us to process what we’d been going through and figure out how to move forward. We lost a good friend during the pandemic, I had my first child, Jimmy’s parents went through a divorce, and there were so many other world-shaking things happening around us.”

“Music became like our life raft,” Tom Howie poeticized. The Silence In Between explores the duality of light and dark; a rocking boat in murky waters, tilting back and forth without ever fully capsizing. 2020 saw the release of Bob Moses’ JUNO Award-nominated project Desire. Ultimately, in 2022, the focus has shifted for the pair—this time aiming to capture “ambient psychic unrest of the current moment” on their latest project; it’s safe to say Bob Moses achieved this mission, and then some.
