Jack Back takes it to the underground on new Defected single, ‘Feeling’
Much like Calvin Harris has done with Love Regenerator, behind David Guetta‘s critically lauded Jack Back alias, the venerated pop producer has successfully tapped into an authentic underground sound that never relies on the Guetta brand’s already established marketability. Finishing 2021 off strong with a flurry of material including “I’ve Been Missing You,” “Alive” with Roland Clark, and psychedelic anthem “Supercycle,” the celebrated French producer has returned with his latest Jack Back offering, titled, “Feeling” via Defected Records.
Heavy hitting and bountifully vibrant, “Feeling” fuses percussion with bold and intuitive vocals, all packaged into a well-rounded, groovy house-inflected framework. Ushering in certifiable house weaponry over the course of the last four years under the Jack Back moniker, Guetta usually keeps his foot on the gas when it comes to studio work, likely meaning we’ll have a consistent stream of Jack Back material coming later this year.
