Jonas Blue, Sevenn measure a winner with subdued house single ‘Angles’
After linking up for a back-to-back set at 1001Tracklists‘ Miami Rooftop Sessions last week, UK powerhouse Jonas Blue and Sevenn have joined forces for the release of their new single, “Angles.”
Out now on Musical Freedom, “Angles” cuts no corners, splitting the difference between a colourfully subdued club track and an infectiously replayable jam. The track samples the iconic Books Shade’s 2006 single “In White Rooms,” giving it a new lease on life thanks to a revised, dynamic structure and freshly cut vocals from Jonas Blue himself.
Discussing the release, Jonas Blue says
The idea kinda stemmed from social media and selfies, with people always trying to get their best angles on a photo. When we paired that hook with the music from the Booka Shade track, we knew we had something special. Sevenn coming on board and finishing it with me was the perfect fit to take this one to the next level.”
“Angles” also celebrates Sevenn’s recent signing to William Morris Endeavor, further cementing the Brazilian upstart as one to watch in the near future. Acutely produced, Jonas Blue & Sevenn’s new track is available on streaming services now. Listen to the single in full below.
