Kygo places his spin on Coldplay, Selena Gomez’s ‘Let Somebody Go’

Kygo surprised just about everyone on the morning on March 11, unexpectedly delivering a remix—his first since 2017—of Coldplay and Selena Gomez‘s “Let Somebody Go.” It marks Kygo’s second all-time Coldplay rework, following his 2014 take on “Midnight,” and further highlights his tropical-house strengths. Guitar and drums drive the track, leading to synth-driven breakdowns with ear-catching vocal additions that take “Let Somebody Go” to a new level on a rework that’s out now via Parlophone Records.
The Kygo-supplied spin tacks on to mid-February’s “Dancing Feet” with the Joe Jonas-fronted DNCE, setting what streamers hope to be a consistent release pace for the 2022 calendar year.
