Nora En Pure gives Dom Dolla’s ‘Strangers’ a tech-inspired revamp

Dom Dolla’s stirring 2021 collaboration with electronic-indie artists Mansionair has seen a fresh new revamp by Nora En Pure. The deep-house producer takes it back with a high-octane techno composition in her latest rework, giving Dom Dolla’s “Strangers” a stripped framework that tastefully extends the track’s shelf life. Mansionair’s Jack Froggatt provides impassioned vocals that float over potent melodies, rhythmic modulations and an atmospheric production. “I absolutely loved the vocals on ‘Strangers,’ so it was a treat to make my own version of it. I have been playing it in almost every set since, and love the crowd’s reactions,” Nora En Pure explained. In the remix, Froggatt’s earnest delivery compliments the song’s somber narrative, centered around themes of impulsivity and unrequited love. His vocals beautifully lead listeners into an expertly composed whirlwind of sweeping strings, reverberating kicks and a sharp, winding bass.

The Swiss-South African producer continues to prove her chops as a tour de force with a steady stream of dynamic, immaculate works that have deservedly thrown her name into “Queen of Deep House” contention. Listen to Nora En Pure’s latest below.
