NUZB gives RetroFuture a tech-house edge on STMPD RCRDS return, ‘Shake It’

It’s going to take a lot for NUZB to somehow topple a banner year on STMPD RCRDS that saw him unfailingly perfect his own genre of RetroFuture, but he’s furthering that campaign in 2022. After opening his release calendar on Future House Music, NUZB has made his way back to Martin Garrix’s label—where he racked up more than 10 originals in 2021—to drop off “Shake It.”

For his return to STMPD RCRDS, the Brazilian phenom set out to capture a different type of sound, one that reflects back to the music he would play out live during pre-pandemic times. “Shake It” gives RetroFuture a tech-house edge, resulting in one of NUZB’s “most clubbier tracks so far” that not only succeeds in evolving his production scope, but also in supplying a dancefloor-ready weapon as we inch closer towards festival season and his Tomorrowland debut this July. NUZB explained what his goal was with “Shake It,” stating,

“Shake It’ is one of my most clubbier tracks so far and I’m so excited to share with the fans this slight change of my usual sound style and the other experiments I’m preparing for this year. So, stay ready for a Tech-House banger with the NUZB touch that you know well! My inspiration came from the Tech-House sound I’ve used to play on the stages before the pandemic, which is a genre that I love so much. So, aligned with the festivals coming back I was inspired to make more club tracks this year and ‘Shake It’ is the result of it. It is a goal for me to be able to make different styles and I’m super excited to see the fans enjoying it!”
