Welcome back, Otto Knows. It’d be nearly three years since the Swedish great had last appeared on the release radar—delivering “About You” in September 2019—but Sebastian Ingrosso had previously confirmed in Swedish House Mafia’s Discord that his former Refune signee had been working on new material in the time since. And after Otto Knows popped back up on the live circuit around the same timeframe, it seemed that his awaited return had become a matter of when, not if. After wiping his Instagram page earlier in the week and sharing an entertaining press conference-style teaser, Otto Knows has now made his comeback official, taking to Tomorrowland’s newly minted Tomorrowland Music imprint for “Pyramids.”

“Pyramids” somewhat picks back up on the undeniably refreshing blend of indie-electronic and house that Otto Knows had been experimenting with before embarking on his hiatus, grandly reintroducing him to the electronic landscape with a track that combines both nostalgic heart and present-day charm. And ahead of his reunion with Boom this coming July, he alluded to “Pyramids” only being the beginning of his return, adding that he’s “super excited to finally release music again and create new memories. I’ve put my heart in those new songs and I’m very proud to finally be able to share them with the world.”
